Introduction

FLOCKDATA FACTORY PLANNER is a Windows based computer software package designed to record placements and forecast depletion dates for broiler flocks. This enables processors to schedule collection and arrival times. The program also predicts the average bodyweight and expected number of birds arriving from each flock. The processor can schedule work from a number of growers each having one or more sites.

Future performance of a flock is based on targets, but actual performance figures can be entered allowing the system to adjust the targets by calculating the deviation from target for the actual data entered.

Using the System

The system can be used by a processor with a number of growers supplying birds to it. Each grower can have several flocks on one or more sites. It can be used by a single user on a standalone PC or by multiple users on a network.

Reporting

The program can produce a variety of reports and summaries. All can be produced on the screen, printed via a printer and saved to a file suitable for attaching to e-mails. The reports can show the performance of an individual flock, give the forecasted depletion dates for selected flocks and give a summary to the processor of the flocks depleting in a chosen period of time. Once a batch of birds has been processed the processor can compile a factory return to send back to the grower. The processor can also produce a summary of the birds processed during the previous 12 months.

Data Files

All data input into Flockdata systems is stored in data files on the hard disk. Should these data files be lost, accidentally deleted or become corrupt then weeks or months of data could be lost. For this reason all Flockdata systems include data backup and restore routines.
