Demonstration Systems

Demonstration versions of each program in the Flockdata suite are available for users to download and evaluate from this page. These are 32-bit versions and can only be installed on machines running a Windows operating system from version Windows 95 to Windows XP. There is no restriction on the number of computers onto which demonstration versions of Flockdata software can be installed.

The demonstration programs restrict users to setting up 3 flocks and entering 4 weeks or 28 days of data for each one.

To download a demonstration program click on the appropriate link below and from the resulting Window choose to download the file to your hard disk. Alternatively right-click on your chosen link and choose to save the file to your hard disk.

It is recommended that all applications be closed down before proceeding with the installation.

Once downloaded locate the file and run it. The installation starts by unzipping files and then copying them to your system. This could take a couple of minutes. Follow the on-screen instructions until the installation has been successfully completed. A Flockdata entry will appear on the Start menu containing links to programs installed.

Once the demo has been successfully installed the downloaded installation file can be deleted from the hard disk. For help getting started and learning your way around the software, view the help pages installed with each program.

During the installation you may receive the following message:

"Setup cannot continue because some system files are out of date on your system. Click OK if you would like setup to update these files for you now. You will need to restart Windows before you can run setup again. Click cancel to exit setup without updating system files."

After Windows reboots and you restart the installation, the error message appears again and you can't progress. This problem occurs because some Windows operating systems most notably Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP won't allow installation programs to overwrite or update certain files. To get around this problem download and run the alternative installation program from this page.
