Coaches

The Club has a number of qualified coaches as shown below. The coaches in general work on a voluntary basis. As the Club expands, there is a requirement for more people to become involved in coaching and so anybody interested in training to be a gymnastics coach with Newport Gym Club can contact the Club by telephone, fax or e-mail (see bottom of Page).

In addition to the qualified coaches, there are a number of coaching assistants working in the Club alongside the main coaching staff. Some of them are ex-gymnasts who want to remain involved in the sport and others are parents who just want to help out. The Club has a policy of encouraging people to become involved in coaching and will fund courses for those interested in improving their skills. Some of the coaching assistants will work to become qualified coaches. If you are interested in attending a coaching course or helping with coaching, please speak to Jason Tucker.
