Awards Night 2006

More than 150 gymnasts plus family and friends from Newport Gymnastics Club gathered recently at the Burton Borough School for the club’s annual awards ceremony.

The evening kicked off with some entertainment before special guest John White, managing director of Gymnova UK, presented awards to gymnasts identified by the club’s coaches as having made significant achievements over the last twelve months.

The following gymnasts were awarded trophies and medals for their fantastic achievements.

Beginners Girls Medal	Shannon Clague
The MSA Ferndale Boys Medal	Reece Beddows
Joraph Consulting Award for Personal Achievement	Jai Meyrick (Boys) Bryony Green (Girls)
The Carol Eassom Award for the highest grade competition score	Hannah Harley
Scalemaster Trophy as leading Recreational gymnast and the Westcotts Junior Squad Cup	Lilian Jackson
Jones and Ferriday Senior Squad Cup	Rachel Taylor
R & R Services Gymnast of The Year Shield	Natalie Coles
Girls Captain	Becky White
Boys Captain	Nathan Milburn

To round off the presentations, the chairman’s award went to committee member Tracey Perry. Grade certificates, British Gymnastics award scheme badges and floor and vault certificates were presented to gymnasts who had won them.
